Postgraduate Diploma in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy
MQF Level 7
General information and rationale:
The postgraduate Diploma in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy programme, is accredited by the MFHEA, MQF Level 7, part-time programme carried out over a timeframe of 2 scholastic years. Working with children and adolescents requires specialised knowledge, skills and competencies, and requires an understanding of the unique context of child and adolescent treatment. Several therapists are currently working with these populations while only having general psychotherapy training with minimal or and/or non-accredited specialised training for work with children and adolescents. Our intention is to offer quality, solid and accredited education in this area. This programme is designed to take into account and address all issues specific to working with children and adolescents in order to equip future psychotherapist with the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies.
